The Final Hand
John Phan was on the button. On the turn (9c-3c-2c-2h) there was around 200,000 in the pot. Marcel Luske bet 300,000 and Phan thought for several minutes. "I won't call." Said Phan. "I'll either muck or raise all in." Luske warned him, "If you go all in, I'll call." Phan finally moved his chips to the center and Luske called. Luske had Phan covered. Phan turned over Jd-3h for two pair, but Luske was way ahead with 10c-6c (a flush). Phan needed to pair, or pair the board for a full house. But the river couldn't save Phan and Luske eliminated him in 2nd place.
John Phan is runner up in today's event. ($179.195).

The turn was a deuce and the river a blank, proving that pocket rockets don't always get cracked. Knight was eliminated, leaving Phan and Luske heads-up going into the break.

Joe Miceli went all in with Ac-Qd and Phan (in late position) called. Phan turned over pocket tens. The flop came Jd-8s-3d. Phan was still in the lead going into the turn (Jc) and sealed it on the river (10).

Jean Gaspard went all in with Kh-9d and Joseph Miceli called with Ad-Jd. The flop came 10c-6c-3d and and Miceli was in the lead going into the turn (Qh). Gaspard would need a jack (for the straight), a king or a nine to win. But the 4d fell on the river and Jean "Prince" Gaspard was elimated.

Jeff Knight went all in against Joe Miceli. Knight had pocket nines and Miceli had pocket jacks. The board doubled paired, as well (K-6-6-4-4) and Miceli's hand was good going in and out, as he doubled through Knight.

Ray Millard was short stacked for a while and finally went all in before the flop. John Phan called and showed 5-4 suited (clubs). Millard had Q-7 suited (spades). The flop came Ah-10c-2h missing both players' flush draws. The 3c came on the turn to give Phan a wheel, leaving Millard drawing dead on the river. Ray Millard went home in 6th place ($29,865).
