Event #7 is the second of the $2,000 No-limit hold'em events and 338 players entered, for a total prizepool of $655,720. Twenty-seven players will be paid with the winner receiving $406,500 (and a $25,000 seat into the WPT championship) - down to $3,780 for places 19-27.

Some of the bigger names like Andy Miller, Dennis Waterman, Tony Cousineau, Vinnie Vinh, William Ballant, Mike Sica, Alan Steffen, Noah Boeken, Bill Baxter, and Alan Smurfit, were knocked out early but made the money. Brian Ahern went out on the final-table-bubble, in 10th place. There were several women who competed, such as Cecilia Reyes, Birgitta Johansson and Olga Spirova, but Spirova was the only one to make it into the money - and the feature table.

Play ended after 2 am PST and nine players will return at 3 pm tomorrow to determine the winner.
