Victor Ramdin Doubles Up
This was a wacky one. The small blind pushed all in, and Victor Ramdin called for his last $5,000 or so in chips. The small blind showed 9d-2d, and Ramdin showed 6-6. The flop came A-A-2, pairing the small blind's deuce, but still leaving him behind in the hand. Then the turn dropped, and it was a deuce, making the small blind an unlikely full boat. The river was perhaps even more unlikely, when the third ace fell, counterfeiting the small blind's full house, and making Victor Ramdin a full house. Victor Ramdin doubles up. If Ramdin makes it to day 2, this unlikely turn of the cards will surely be a talking point.

Erick Lindgren Doubles Up
After moving all in on the previous hand for only $1,950, Erick Lindgren moves all in again, but this time he is called by the player in seat 3. Lindgren shows pocket aces and the other player has A-J of diamonds. The flop comes 10-10-5 with one diamond, but the turn puts another diamond out there with the 3d, giving Lindgren's opponent the flush draw. The river card is a nice, black nine for Lindgren, and he doubles up to about $5,000.

Marsha Waggoner Nearly Doubles Up
Marsha Waggoner pushes all in for $7,350 from early position. The next player to act calls all in for $6,825, and everyone else folds. Waggoner shows pocket queens, and the other player shows -- pocket deuces. Not what you'd call a very powerful hand for calling an all-in bet. Especially with your tournament life on the line. The board came 9-8-4-K-10, and the other player was eliminated as Marsha Waggoner nearly doubles up to about $15,000.
