The criteria for tournaments that count toward the Online Player of the Year standings follow:
Note: Players receive points only if they are "in the money." If a tournament pays only five places, only the top five players get points. Players also may only receive points for one screen name per poker site (but may receive combined points for screen names across multiple sites). Players may request that one screen name be permanently "retired" from a site and a new screen name tracked if they permanently switch screen names. In this scenario, all stats from the retired screen name will remain associated with the account, as normal, but no further results from this screen name will ever be counted.
All requests for merges, retirings, headshot/avatar changes, or data corrections can be sent to OnlineZone@CardPlayer.com.

Buy-ins
$100-$199 = 1 point
$200-$499 = 2 points
$500-$999 = 3 points
$1,000-$1,999 = 4 points
$2,000+ = 5 points
The buy-in in rebuy tournaments is calculated by dividing the total gross prize pool by the number of entrants.
Number of entrants
100-499 = 1 point
500-999 = 2 points
1,000-1,499 = 3 points
1,500-2,499 = 4 points
2,500-4,999 entrants = 5 points
5,000+ entrants = 6 points
The maximum number of entrant points available for a tournament is 6.
Examples are: 57 players = 0 point, 101 players = 1 point, 650 players = 2 points, 1,170 players = 3 points, 1,801 players = 4 points, 2,768 players = 5 points, 8,565 players = 6 points.
Here is a hypothetical total point calculation example: You finished in eighth place in a $200 buy-in event that had 1,150 entrants. You receive 20 points for eighth place; the buy-in is $200, which is a 2-point event; and there are 1,150 entrants, which is good for 3 points. Thus, you receive 120 total points (20 x 2 x 3 = 120).
