Let's start Saturday, April 14th. Joe convinced me to go to Rockingham because he was going to play a two day $250. I couldn't play the 250 because I couldn't play the next day if I had made it to day 2. He owed me $250 and he was broke, but his dad gave him some money that he owed him under the agreement that they would split whatever he won. I don't understand how that makes sense, but whatever. His money management is terrible here. He’s in the hole, and he’s playing a huge, high variance (over 200 runners) tournament. He makes a good point that these 250 tournies are the most plus EV tournies that NH offers, but he overestimates by how much. The level of play in these 250s is noticeably better than any Seabrook tournament. The best players in the area don’t miss the chance to play them. Just from watching a few hands in the tournament I could tell that there were multiple internet players per table. Anyway, we both wound up losing and I can’t remember anything interesting because this was three weeks ago. Going to write a new post now at 1:39 AM.

the $250 was not what he owed me it was just a stake.

If he had $250 to stake you, why didn't he have $250 to pay you back? And I thought you didn't like taking stakes in tournies ~$250 and under. I guess I just can't understand the Nelligan BR reasoning.

The Nelligan BR reasoning is very complicated but I get money form my Dad when A) I really need it B) He happens to be particularly flush which I don't mind at all since he has bills and I didn't at that point and he works a few more hours a week than I do.
