A New Bloggining Blog 001 (Freedom)

Tonight I open PokerStars and bring up the $10+$1 Freeze out, a tourney I’ve played many times, made the final table of several times and have flat out won a couple of times. I pull up the table with the chip leader (Terrivel83 (Portugal). I look at the lobby and see the list of FREE people from all over the world, registered and playing in this tourney, excepting of coarse players from the United States of America. As I sit and observe the table play, I admire and envy the liberty these players have to enjoy this simple virtual card game that I’ve invested so much time and study into.

As I think of their freedom I think of my father who along with his mother told an untruth about his age, in order to join the United States Navy. At just 17 years old my father placed his life in harm’s way in order to do his little part to insure freedom and instill liberty around the world. I wonder what he might have been thinking when at 18 years old he received his draft notice from the United States Government while plucking the dead bodies of American Soldiers from the water at a beach called Normandy. As I watch the virtual cards fly, I remember the pride I felt as a child every morning at school pledging my allegiance to the same flag my father battled under, the flag he watched his friends and fellow patriots bleed and die under. I think of all the freedoms and liberties that have been pulled out from under Americans since my childhood. As I’ve aged I’ve seen the tree of freedom, molested one chop at a time by the political axes of the corrupt and incompetent whores ruling the big two political administrations in this great country. Year after year more rules, more regulations, more laws, more licenses, more fee’s, more taxes, more whoring, more and more freedom chopped away.

My fellow Americans, it’s quite clear that our loss of ability to play a virtual card game is but one more chop from our tree of freedom and liberty.

I’d like to wish GOOD LUCK to the top players in this tournament under my present observation, hailing from: Latvia – Poland – Russia – Canada – Brazil – Spain – Germany – Denmark – Portugal – United Kingdom – Costa Rica – Israel – Brazil – Netherlands – Uruguay – Slovakia – Australia – Belarus – Lithuania – Ukraine – Mexico and the list goes on.

Best of luck to you my foreign friends!
