Cashed Again!!by npte80 | Published Jan 20, 2011 |

I came in 5th in my Wednesday night tournament at Seminole Casino Immakolee. I really don't have anything special to say about this tournament, besides that the field was so much younger than I have ever seen it at this casino. This place is usually filled with senior citizens, and a few middle aged players, but this time half of the final table was under 25. That being said we were all knocked out besides one flamboyant kid, who couldn't stop running his mouth all night.
The night started off well I caught a straight and a flush in the first couple hands to triple me up. I than went on to use my position and chip stack to steal the blinds over the rest of the night, but that's all I was able to do since I caught rags for a majority of the tournament.
The final table went pretty well. This old guy beside me knocked out 3 people at once to pretty much ensuring me that I'll make it to the money. I than caught a beat that didn't cripple me, but was really annoying. I had KK on the button. four people limp in, so I go ahead and push all in, since I'm I only have 13 BB left. I get called by the old guy that just busted the three people. He turns over AK. the flop comes Q-10-9, than and Ace to put him ahead, but than a Jack comes to make a Straight, so we chopped. It sucked, If that ace doesn't come I would have had over 40k in chips with the blinds at 1000/2000.
A few hands later I'm on the button again and I have 8-3 suited. There is only one limper, so I go ahead and pop it to 4k to try and see if I can get him to fold. He calls. the flop comes 5-6-7, so I'm looking at an open ended str8 draw. I say all in, but the problem is I'm on the button, and he is suppose to act first. I felt like an idiot. Even worse he says I call, and I have a straight. he flips over 8-4 off. I could not believe it. No 9 comes and I'm out in 5th. If I would have not been an idiot and acted out of turn, and if this kid throws 1 chip into that pot, I'm not making that all in move. It sucked, but I have no one to blame but myself.
All in all, I'm very pleased with the way I played, besides my last play. I didn't cash enough to move up in stakes, but its a great learning experience. I'll be back next week, and if I cash at all, I'm going to start playing deep stack tournaments.
