A US Soldiers goal....Moving forward, a 20K BR Goal.by sergeantsmith | Published May 28, 2010 |

Ok, so I am a soldier in the United States Army. I must admit that I have let poker get out of control and let it become more of a problem than a game. At times I have won thousands and other times I have lost thousands. This is all due to my lack of dicipline in game selection and session time.
Its been said in every blog post and poker article, a decent poker player with dicipline will make more money in the long run than a great poker player with no dicipline. This goes for game selection, control over emotion, session time, and so on and so forth.
I bust my ass over here In iraq little money considering the type of work I am involved with and I refuse to allow myself to give up and say, "eh I don't have the work ethic and dicipline that it takes to make thousands of dollars playing a game that I love, its just to hard". No not anymore!
Mark my word. I am starting with 100.00 all over again. I will be playing 5.00 sngs, 50c/1.00 omaha, mabey 1/2NL, 2/4 Limit. While some of these may seem to big for a 100.00 starting bankroll, it should be ok. I'll build from the get go and stick with these limits until I've reached a comfortable amount to move up. Feb 2011 I plan to hitting the 20,000.00 BR mark. This will prbably come in the form of a 50K Gauran. Win on PDC, which is around 10k. I have taken third already and only played it a few times, its only a matter of time.
For those of you who dont know me I was having a pretty good run about 5 months ago on PDC poker and I am going to pick up where I left off. I dont have the time to play the 7hour tournies you find on the larger sites so I will be playing on the merge network ie. Carbon Poker, PDC. You can look me up on sharkscope.com. My screenname is Sergeantsmith, Ive got good returns and I wanna get back in the winners cirlce.
I will be starting here in a few days as soon as my deposit goes through. I will post my progress and allow you to ride along with me :0) Until then, good luck at the tables, see you there~!
