Poker Trip Tomorrowby jnells | Published Jul 27, 2011 |

So tomorrow is my flight to Mississippi to play 6 days of prelims at the World Poker Open at the Gold Strike Casino. I'm pretty pumped for this trip despite that poker as a whole has been going miserably, really since a few weeks before Back Friday. I spent the last few weeks online poker was around in the US on a considerable downswing, and since I have been getting reamed on trips to both Foxwoods and NH. I'm down likely between 2-4 thousand, since Black Friday though I don't know exactly because I didn't start recording live sessions since the end of April. In that time the only decent score was winning a 30 rebuy for a little more than 1,000 profit, the real disappointment is that the 2 biggish tourneys I've been deep in I had the chip lead 4handed, getting 4th both times.
Most recently I've been on what is likely my worst live SnG downswing. Down like $700 in 3 trips to NH playing mostly SnGs. Despite all of this I feel like I have been playing really well and I have simply been running poorly. Now, this doesn't mean I'm "DUE" or anything like that but the fact that I've avoided tilt, kept on my game, and have been constantly putting myself in profitable spots is keeping me positive. That being said, if the downswing continues through The WPO than I could be cash busto and would likely have to pick up some form of summer employment. ORRR maybe I'll just borrow mad loot and run the NH SnG scene like a boss. Only time will tell, but hopefully it's not something I even have to come across.
I think I will have enough time to put some form of trip reports on here each day but even if I can't, i will be recording interesting hands and will write it when I have time in the near future.
Here goes nothing.
