Euro Poker News: PartyPoker.net East vs. West Cup

Event Pits Eastern Europe Against Western Europe

Following on its success from last year, PartyPoker.net is pleased to announce that Monday marks the start of its PartyPoker.net European Challenge in Vienna, Austria. The event will take place during the popular Spring Poker Festival in Austria.

A team of online qualifiers from Eastern Europe will battle a team of Western European online qualifiers in the €100,000 freeroll at the Concord Card Casino. The final table of 10 for the PartyPoker.net East vs. West Cup will share €50,000, while the winning team will get €50,000 split among them.

The 13th annual Austrian Spring Poker Festival, which goes on until 17 March 2007, has an estimated prize pool of around $1.1 million. Last year's winner, Vienna-based pro Siegfried Stockinger, will defend his title.

The Spring Poker Festival promises to be a poker player's dream. Around 1,000 people are expected to flock to the Austrian capital for the weeklong extravaganza.
