While Quinn Do and Chi Chang play heads-up for the title in Event #17 ($2,500 Limit Hold'em), Do has a few fans in the crowd, including John Phan (the current leader in the Card Player Player of the Year standings) and Liz Lieu, who has been one of the strongest performers so far at this World Series (making one final table, and just missing another).

Posted: Sun, Jun 19, 05, 6:23 PM
Mike Davis is all in preflop against Chi Chang. Davis has Ad-4s, and Chang has 9d-7d. The flop comes 7c-4h-2s, and both players make a pair, but Chang's sevens are ahead of Davis's fours. Davis needs to catch a four, an ace, or a runner-runner straight to stay alive. The turn card is the 8d, and Davis is down to five outs. The river card is the 9c, and Mike Davis is eliminated in third place, earning $68,630.
The next player eliminated will receive $137,365 for second place, while the winner will take home $265,975 and a coveted World Series of Poker bracelet.

Mike Davis Doubles Up
Posted: Sun, Jun 19, 05, 6:09 PM
Mike Davis is all in preflop with 7c-6s, and he's up against Chi Chang's Ah-5s. The flop comes 8c-6c-4d, and Davis takes the lead with a pair of sixes and a gut-shot straight draw, while Chang has an overcard and a different gut-shot straight draw. Chang needs to catch a seven or an ace to eliminate Davis. The turn card is the 9s, and that eliminates the value of Chang's straight draw, as Davis would make a higher straight. Needing to catch an ace, Chang watches as the last card falls with the 8d. Mike Davis doubles up to $70,000 in chips.

Tony Nasr Eliminated in 4th Place ($60,055)
Posted: Sun, Jun 19, 05, 6:02 PM
Chi Chang raises to $30,000 preflop, and Tony Nasr already has $15,000 committed in the big blind. With just $10,000 left to his name, he folds 8-2 offsuit, giving up the pot.
The very next hand, Nasr is all in for the cost of the small blind ($10,000). Chang calls from the button, and Quinn Do checks his option. The flop comes As-9h-6d, and Chang and Do check. The turn card is the 9d, Do checks, Chang bets $30,000, and Do folds. Chang shows 9s-8c (trip nines), and Nasr looks at his cards for the first time, flipping over Kd-4c. Unfortunately, Nasr is drawing dead. (The meaningless river card is the 2s.) Tony Nasr is eliminated in fourth place, earning $60,055.
The next player eliminated will receive $69,630 for third place.
