Kevin O'Donnell raised to $4,900 and Darren Walther raised all in for $17,900 on top.  O'Donnell declares that he has to make a stand and makes the call.  Walther shows K Q and O'Donnell shows 7 7.  The board comes A 9 5 2 4, and Walther is our sixth place finisher.  
 

Peter Persson Eliminated in 7th Place ($5,980)

Peter Persson raised to $11,000 on the button and Mats Rahmn made the call from the small blind.  The flop came 9 9 4 and Rahmn checked.  Persson put his last $5,900 into the pot and Rahmn instacalled.  Persson showed 7 7 and Rahmn flopped trips with A 9.  The turn and river came Q K and Persson is our seventh place finisher.  
 

Stan Fulton Eliminated in 8th Place ($4,275)

Mats Rahmn raised to $5,500 from the cutoff.  Carlo Citrone reraised to $17,500 from the small blind and Stan Fulton moved in for another $20,100 instantly.  Rahmn folded and Citrone thought for a minute before calling with 9 9.  Fulton was in trouble with 6 6.  The board came Q J 5 8 A, and Fulton is our eighth place finisher.

Peter Persson Put To The Test

Peter Persson limped from the button and Mats Rahmn raised $4,500 more from the big blind.  Persson makes the call, and both players see the flop of J 8 2.  It goes check check and the turn is the 4.  Rahmn bets out $6,000 and Persson calls after thinking for a bit.  The river is the Q and Rahmn bets $15,000.  Persson goes into the tank for about 7 minutes before Francis Mahiout calls the clock on him.  He shuffles his chips around and then mucks his hand while shaking his head.  
 

Richard Herbert Eliminated in 9th Place ($3,420)

Kevin O'Donnell raised to $4,800 and Richard Herbert reraised to $12,000.  It was folded around to O'Donnell who made the call.  The flop came Q 9 5 and O'Donnell checked.  Herbert instantly moved in for his last $33,000 and O'Donnell insta-called.  Herbert showed A A but was behind to O'Donnell's 5 5.  The turn and river came 3 K, and Herbert takes a cooler on the first hand of the final table to finish in ninth place.  After the hand, O'Donnell is our new chip leader with $96,000.
 

Bigger Field Than Usual

Today's $1,500 field for the Bellagio Cup III has already gotten 161 entires and it's still growing.  Some notables in today's field include Sorel Mizzi, Tom Dobrilovic, Shannon Elizabeth, John Gale, C.T. Law, Stan Jablonski, Eugene Todd, Jon "Apestyles" Van Fleet and Jason Strasser.
