Updates on Final Day (Jun 13, 07)

Eric Baldwin Doubles Up

Florian Langmann raises to $11,000 and Eric Baldwin reraises all in for $27,500 total.  Langmann reluctantly makes the call and wants to pull his call back after he sees Baldwin's pocket Aces.  Langmann has Q-8 and the board comes 10-6-3-K-5 to double Baldwin up to $55,000.

Break Time

Players are now on a 15 minute break.  Players will return to blinds to $2,000/$4,000 with a $500 ante.

Jonathan Shecter Eliminated 6th Place ($10,090)

Jonathan Shecter is all in for his last $22,000 against Florian Langmann.  Langmann has 8 8 against Shecter's  K Q.  The flop comes J 8 4 and Langmann hits a set.  The turn gives Shecter some help in the 10, but the river doesn't give him a straight when it comes down Q.  Jonathan Shecter is our 6th place finisher.

Jorge Walker Eliminated 7th Place ($7,850)

Florian Langmann raises to $11,000 and Jorge Walker goes over the top for another $26,000.  Langmann makes the call and shows J 10.  He is dominated by Walker's A J.  The board comes A Q 4 7 7, and Langmann makes a flush to eliminated Walker in 7th place.

Travis Rice Eliminated 8th Place ($5,605)

Travis Rice pushes all in from middle position and Tom Dobrilovic moves all in behind him.  Dobrilovic shows J J and Rice shows A 10.  The board comes 8 3 3 6 7 and Travis Rice finishes in 8th place.

Jeff James Doubles Up

Jeff James is all-in for his last $9,500 against Travis Rice in the big blind.  James has J-8 and Rice shows 10-7.  The board comes Q-5-4-2-6 and James doubles up to $20,000.

Chop Chop

John Kincaid raises to $16,000 and Eric Baldwin goes all-in for $34,500.  Kincaid makes the call and both show pocket Jacks.  The board doesn't flush any of them and both chop the pot.

Travis Rice Doubles Up

Eric Baldwin limps on the button and Travis Rice pushes all in for his last $23,000.  Baldwin quickly makes the call with A 9 and is racing against Rice's 4 4.  Jared Hamby doesn't know who to root for as he is sweating both players while playing in today's event.  So instead he roots for a spade flush on board to chop.  He almost gets his wish when the flop is 10 8 5, but the turn card is the A, giving Baldwin the lead.  Rice is down to his last 2 outs and hits the 4 on the river to double up.

Chip Counts and Chip Races

The chip counts tab has been updated and players are currently racing off the $100 chips from the table.

Blinds are going up to $1,500/$3,000 with a $500 ante.

Ed Forlani Eliminated 9th Place ($4,485)

Ed Forlani goes all in for his last $7,000 from the cutoff.  Both John Kincaid and Jeff James call from the blinds.  The flop comes J 8 3 and Kincaid bets $5,000.  James folds as Kincaid shows K J.  Forlani is in trouble with 9 7.  The turn and river come 5 4 and Forlani is eliminated in 9th place.
