Outcome
With the blinds at 150-300, Rajkumar raised to 600 from the button, Ng reraised to 1,700, Rajkumar reraised to 5,200, Ng called. On the flop, Ng bet 4,500, Rajkumar called. On the turn, Ng checked, Rajkumar bet 10,500, Ng raised all in, Rajkumar called.
Analysis
Rajkumar got aggressive with his 5-4 offsuit on the button; many reraises out of the big blind indicate strong hands. In this case, Ng had the strongest possible hand, and Rajkumar was playing with fire. Ng decided to call the large reraise rather than possibly tip her hand with an additional raise of her own, hoping to trap an aggressive opponent who would likely bet in position. Ng led out with a bet of half the pot on the flop, while Rajkumar must have been delighted to a make a well-disguised two pair. Ng sprung her check-raise trap on the turn, only to discover she was against the wall, needing to counterfeit or a redraw to her set. Ng caught her ace on the river, seizing a 7.5-1 chip lead over Rajkumar, the 2009 _L.A. Poker Classic_ heads-up champion.

Fascinating. It's good to know that Aces hold up every once in awhile.... :)
