Outcome
Final table, heads-up, with the blinds at 120,000 and 240,000 and a 30,000 ante, Pidun went all-in from the button, Haigh called.
Analysis
Pidun started the heads up match with a massive chip lead and used his stack to maul his opponent's chip position with this preflop all-in. Haigh woke up with a premium hand but could not make a pair after he watched his opponent connect on the flop. Haigh finished runner-up for €531,000, moving him into second place behind Jan Bendik in the EPT player of the year race. This was a break out season for Haigh, winning preliminary events at EPT Barcelona and EPT Deauville. But this was his largest cash to date by far and moves his lifetime earnings to $857,972. Pidun rarely plays on the circuit, but always makes time for the EPT stop in Germany. He finished in 9th in 2011 and 17th in 2012 here, but this year he took down the title and €880,000.
