Analysis
Heads-up play progressed relatively quickly, as the two finalists agreed on a money deal, and even elected to skip the 30,000-60,000 level and proceed directly to 40,000-80,000. Hall absorbed Mizrachi's button-raise with two Broadway cards and flopped an open-ended straight draw to go along with two overcards to the board. He intended to check-raise the preflop raiser, who obliged with a continuation-bet once it was checked over. Hall popped it up, but Mizrachi had made top pair and stood his ground in spite of the check-raise and marginal kicker he held. The turn put Hall in the lead, and Mizrachi was eliminated in second for $414,680 plus an amount secured by the deal. Hall started the day at his first live final table in last chip position, but he patiently captured all of the chips in play to win his first major event at just 20 years of age, adding to his already impressive résumé of online achievements.
