Outcome
Final table, heads up, with the blinds at 80,000-160,000 with a 20,000 ante, Eastgate raised to 350,000 from the button, Gustavson reraised to 900,000 from the big blind, Eastgate went all in, Gustavson called.
Analysis
Gustavson enjoyed a 3-1 chip lead over the former _WSOP_ champ at the start of this hand, and with the astronomically priced blinds in place when each player woke up with an ace, action was bound to follow. Gustavson made a standard three-bet with his premium ace when Eastgate announced he was not merely stealing from the button with his initial raise, and moved in. Gustavson had an automatic call, and had Eastgate's kicker well dominated. When the board failed to bring him a 9 or a lucky chop, Eastgate's runner-up finish earned him £530,000 ($844,285). Gustavson won his first major and £850,000 ($1,354,042).
