With the blinds at 15,000-30,000 with a 3,000 ante, Dominic Cullen raised to 70,000 from the cutoff seat, Eastgate raised all in from the button, Obrestad went all in from he small blind, Cullen folded.
Obrestad must have hoped that Eastgate was mounting a re-steal from the button when she woke up with her medium ace. Against a cutoff raise and a short-stack’s reshove from the button, her hand stood to be out in front of Eastgate’s range. She went all in to isolate, but once Cullen mucked, Obrestad found herself dominated by Eastgate’s pocket pair. Former WSOP champ Eastgate caught a much needed double-up for his short-stack, while Obrestad was crippled and busted out shortly after this hand in 17th, for £17,000 ($27,081).
