John Gale has picked up the nickname of "The Gentleman" for his courteous nature on the tournament trail. Don't let the name fool you, because Gale is one of the fiercest competitors in poker thanks to his background as a boxer.

Gale won a World Series of Poker gold bracelet in 2006, when he won a $2,500 pot-limit hold'em event. Gale also won a World Poker Tour title in 2005, when he took home $890,000 for winning the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.
