Ryan Hughes Bio

Ryan Hughes is a professional poker player from Phoenix, Arizona. He was born in San Francisco, California, but moved to study at Arizona State University. Short of a college degree, Hughes opted to take the path less traveled and quit school to make poker his career. Hughes won his first World Series of Poker bracelet in the 2007 $2,000 seven-card stud eight-or-better tournament. When he won his second World Series of Poker bracelet in the $1,500 buy-in seven-card stud eight-or-better event, he became the only player in history to win two gold bracelets in that particular game. The poker pro has been cashing in major tournaments since 2002.
