Erik Seidel was all in by fifth street against Marco Traniello. Seidel was able to make a 9-8 low on sixth street, but it was squashed by Traniello’s 9-7 made on sixth street as well. The river did not improve Seidel’s hand and he was eliminated. Traniello was up to 163,000 with the knockout. Raymer Out Greg Raymer and John Hennigan tangled in a pot that saw Raymer all in by fifth street. Raymer made a 10-low, but Hennigan was able to squeeze out a 9-low and Raymer made his exit from the tournament. Richey Crippled Bill Chen and Brett Richey were involved in a hand. Dan O’Brien raised to 1,500 before the draw. The action was on Erick Lindgren who shoved all in for his remaining 13,000. O’Brien made the call and drew one card. Lindgren tabled 10-8-6-4-3. O’Brien took his drawn card and then tabled 8-7-5-3-2 to best Lindgren and send him to the rail on the last level of the night. Mizrachi Straightens Out Grey Michael Mizrachi raised to 2,000 before the draw and the action was then on David Grey. Grey made the call and both players drew one card. Mizrachi then led out with 4,000 and Grey mucked his hand. Mizrachi then showed Grey a straight, 8-7-6-5-4, a wicked smile on his face as he showed off his bluff. Grey had shown a face card and probably would have taken the pot down with a call. Mizrachi was at 30,000 after the hand.
Freddy Deeb raised to 2,000 before the draw and the action folded to Brett Richey. He reraised to 6,000. The big blind then repopped it to 20,000. Deeb mucked and Richey raised to 26,200 total, putting himself all in. The big blind made the call and drew one card. Richey stood pat and showed down J-8-7-3-2. It was just enough as the big blind tabled Q-8-6-4-2. Richey was once down to his last 1,000 in chips but rebounded all the way up to 55,000 after that double up. We caught up with the action after the draw. Frank Kassela fired a bet of 4,000 into the pot with Freddy Deeb and Brett Richey next to act. Deeb pondered his decision for awhile and made the call. Richey did not hesitate as long to make the call. A wry grin appeared on Kassela’s face as he turned over 7-7-5-4-3. “That didn’t go quite the way I planned,” he joked. Deeb then addressed Richey, saying that if he didn’t have a pair he had the pot. Richey turned over 10-8-6-5-2 and took down the pot. Richey was once extremely short but clawed back to 24,000 after the hand. Kassela was at 32,000 while Deeb was at 34,000. Cantu Bets Out Richey A few hands after the one against Deeb and Kassela, Brett Richey called a raise by Brandon Cantu before the draw. Richey then elected to take one card while Cantu did the same. Cantu then led out with 2,100 and Richey quickly mucked. Cantu took down the pot and was at 38,000.
We caught up with this hand after the draw. Eli Elezra, Jason Mercier and David Baker had built the pot to around 6,000. Eli Elezra showed down J-10-8-5-2 after all three players checked their option. Mercier and Baker mucked their hands and Elezra took down the pot. He was at about 30,000 after the hand.
