Hafiz Khan Doubles Up in a Huge Hand
Hafiz Khan just doubled up close to more than 200,000 in a huge hand to end the night. There was a A 6 5 3 10 board on the table and he held 4 3 in the hole. Ben Klier had most likely flopped a set and made the call when Khan got the last of his chips in on the turn, but the flush was too much for him to overcome and he mucked his hand.
The Katz Meow
Max Katz was yet another player to climb close to the 200,000 mark close to the end of the night thanks to a monster pot. There was 100,000 on the table along with a 5 2 2 A 8 board when Katz bet 15,000. Nick Binger made the call and Katz showed down pocket kings. Binger mucked and Katz ended play with close to 200,000.

Matt Stout Eliminated
Matt Stout shipped the last of his chips into the middle with A-K in the hole and Ben Klier made the call with pocket jacks. The jacks held and Stout was eliminated from the tournament. His dinner order had the awkward timing of arriving right before this happened, but he stuck around to polish off the meal table side.
Hafiz Khan Doubles Up
At the same table where Stout fell a few hands later Hafiz Khan was able to stave off the same fate thanks to pocket aces in the hole. They held against the pocket queens of Jon Eaton and Khan lives to fight another day.
Andrew Frankenberger Doubles Up
Andrew Frankenberger just kept his tournament hopes alive with pocket jacks in the hole thanks to a third jack that fell on the flop. His stack is now up to 50,000 after the hand.
Frank Kassela Confuses his Opponent
Frank Kassela raised to 2,000 from the small blind preflop and the big blind made the call. The flop fell 8 6 4 and Kassela bet 5,000. The big blind made the call and they both checked the 2 on the turn. The river fell A and Kassela bet 6,500. The big blind went into the tank for quite some time with a pained expression on his face. He eventually tossed in the chips for a call and then promptly mucked after Kassela revealed 7 4 . Kassela approached 50,000 after the hand.

Big Hands:
ElkY Gets Lucky On Alan Sass
We didn’t catch the action up until the turn, when Alan Sass found himself all in against Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier on a board reading Q 10 2 9 . Sass showed pocket aces and Grospellier was in bad shape with pocket kings.
The river was the J , however, and Grospellier made a king-high straight to take a huge pot, eliminate Sass and chip up to 128,000.
Hafiz Khan Eliminated
Hafiz Khan lost most of his stack to David Paredes when his A-K failed to catch up against pocket kings and was left with just a couple thousand in chips. Then in the small blind, Khan woke up with A-Q only to have the big blind look him up with J-10.
The flop came down J-10-4 and Khan never caught up, packing up his things and hitting the rail halfway through level six.
Tough Luck For Justin Bonomo Sends Him Out
On a flop of 6 3 2 , Justin Bonomo was all in and looking good with pocket kings against the 7 6 of David Woo.
The turn and river fell 7 J and Woo’s two pair eliminated Bonomo from the tournament.
Ralph Perry Gets Richer From Sam Farha
Ralph Perry raised to 3,000 and was called by Erik Nomberg on the button and Sam Farha in the big blind. The flop came down A 7 3 and Farha checked to Perry, who bet 6,500.
Nomberg folded and Farha called. The turn was the Q and Farha checked once again. This time, Perry bet 16,000 and Farha called. The river was the 5 and Farha checked.
Perry bet 20,000, leaving himself with just 10,725 behind. Farha thought it over for about a minute, explaining he would have folded if it were not for the turn card. Eventually, he flashed the A , implying he picked up a flush draw with his top pair and mucked his hand. Perry now has about 85,000 in chips.
