Mike Sowers can be found online playing under the screen names "Sowerss" and "SowersUNCC" on different online poker sites. He has won over $1 million in online poker tournaments.

He began to cross over into the live arena in 2007 and his first live tournament win came at the Borgata Winter Open in 2008, where he won a $5,000 no-limit hold'em preliminary to take home $399,000.
