Hour Two RecapJul 07, '07 Family Affair Continued Left off of the list of family members in the tournament field today were Howard Lederer and Annie Duke, who entered the tournament area a little late. Lederer actually now shares the table with Allyn Jaffery Shulman, whose original table has already broken. Runner Up Affair
Also Joe Sebok seems to be the only real poker royalty (don’t tell Prince of Poker Scotty Nguyen though). Sebok, the winner of the prop bet between Gavin Smith and Jeff Madsen is adorned today in a royal cape, which has been rather lucky for him as he has chipped up to about $35,000.
Power out gunned Recent Irish Open finalist Nicky Power has been eliminated. 'I found aces the hand before, raised it up and got no callers,' he explained to CardPlayer.com. 'The next hand i found A-K and the flop came K-K-4. All the money went in the middle and the other fella had 4-4. I don't mind really, folding is not a big part of my game so what can you do,' he grinned. Trumper trumped this time. Englishman Simon Trumper had to fold 10-10 to a raise from 'a loose-agressive guy' in seat nine. He didn't seem too upset though as he described his various observations of the playing styles and strategies of the players at his table to CardPlayer.com. Donnacha O'Dea $16,700 Pascal Perrault $23,050 Jen Mason $13,050 Simon Trumper $21,800 Ross Boatman $23,500 Rob Taylor $13,025 Neil Channing $42,000 Thomas Finneran $16,350 Eoghan O'Dea $23,000 George McKeever $35,300 Derek Murray $15,900 Alan Smurfit $27,200 John Duthie $36,200 Dave Murray $19,675 Adam Noone $17,050 Vicky Coren $22250 Notable Chip Counts

Level Eight RecapJun 18, '07 Tournament InfoAround 150 players returned from dinner to finish out the last fifteen minutes of level seven, before blinds raised to $400-$800 with a $100 ante for level eight. At the end of the level only 108 of the 847players that started the day remained. Shak Attack Is Back Dan Shak is doing double duty, sweating his wife Beth who is among the 12 remaining players in the $3,000 no-limit event, while also playing at a table with Johan Storakers, Terrance Chan and Joe Tehan in the short handed event. With payouts starting after about thirty more bust outs, Dan and Beth could feasibly both be in the money tonight. Eliminations and Double Ups William Chen was eliminated when he ran K-9 into the Q Q of Ylon Schwartz. Vanessa Selbst and Joe Awada were also eliminated this past hour. Mimi Tran's tournament life was on the line with 10 10 against the A K . Her opponent took the lead on the flop, which brought the K 9 2 . After the turn, Tran retook the lead when the 10 hit, but she still had to dodge a spade to survive. The river brought the 9 , which filled Tran's boat and doubled her up. Erick Lindgren was also all-in this round. After a flop of A 8 3 , Lindgren held the A 5 and his opponent 7 5 . The turn brought the A , and Lindgren only had to dodge clubs going into the river. The 7 sealed the deal for Lindgren, who ended the hand with around $20,000. Players are currently on a short break as chips are being colored up.
