In the Money.......Just KiddingJun 07, '07 After completing almost half of a round in hand for hand play there are still 127 players left, one out of the money. Play has tightened considerably in this short handed event and it is obvious no one wants to be the sacrificial lamb and bust on the bubble. There are 23 tables left in today's event and with one more elimination we will be in the money. The players are taking a 15 minute break between levels and when they come back tournament officials will have colored up the seemingly endless amount of green $25 chips in play. JC Tran and Eric Siedel are just two of the players that will return to find the size of their stacks to be vastly smaller in size. Siedel may have trouble adjusting to his new higher chip demoninations as he has become accustomed to pushing a rack filled with $25 chips into the middle for his lead out bet. Notable eliminations in the last hour include Theo Tran, Mimi Tran and JC Alvarado. Play should pick up after the break and the elimination of one more player. Short stacks hanging on for dear life and $2,143 will begin to drop like flies. Come back to CardPlayer.com for more on this exciting short handed event.
