Born in Dayton, Ohio, Sexton has been playing poker since he was a teenager, After moving to Las Vegas with his family in 1988, Roberts began perusing the housing market prior to the housing boom in the Las Vegas area.

Now afforded time to play more the game, Sexton began developing games other than his 20-year favorite, 7 Card Stud. His studying paid off and Sexton finished eighth in the 2005 WSOP Tournament of Champions.
