Daniel Alaei, from Burlingame, Calif., is a high stakes cash game and tournament player. His first tournament score came in 2003, for just $700. However, a year later he was playing big buy-in events and since then has won World Series of Poker bracelets in a 2006 no-limit deuce-to-seven lowball event, the 2009 Omaha 8-or-better world championship and the 2010 pot-limit Omaha world championship.
In addition to his WSOP success, Alaei won the 2009 World Poker Tour Doyle Brunson Classic Championship for $1,428,430. Alaei has also been featured on GSN's High Stakes Poker.
