James Woods was born April 18, 1947. The son of a U.S. Intelligence officer, he is a native of Warwick, Rhode Island, and earned a scholarship to MIT. Woods left college early to pursue his acting career. He's appeared in numerous films, including Casino and Any Given Sunday, and the actor-producer-director has been impressing audiences for more than three decades. He now has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Woods loves the game of poker, plays frequently online, and started a poker website of his own to capitalize on the poker boom and to interact with fans.
He appeared regularly on the Celebrity Poker Showdown and captained the James Woods Gang vs. The Unabombers in a poker miniseries of the same name.
