Muchnilk Takes the Lead

Mark Muchnik vs. Keith Block
In sharp contrast to the aggressive paced battle between Vanessa Selbst and Daniel Schrieber, the play between Muchnik and Block has been...civil. Both are making polite conversation between themselves, the spectators and the media. Every pot played has been small, and at this point there has only been one preflop raise that has been called.
Muchnilk Fires First
Keith Block limps from the button and Muchnilk raises to $50,000. Block makes the call and the flop comes K

One Match Remains
Jun 20, '07
The fourth round of heads up play is still going on, with only one heads up match in play. Scotty Nguyen and Mark Muchnik are at a stand still and have gotten into the habit of trading blinds. Muchnik has a slight chip advantage over Nguyen, who has been frustrated for much of the round over how card dead he is. Nguyen has repeatedly folded to any raise and when doing so angrily folds his cards. "I've only gotten one pair this whole time. Pocket nines." said Nguyen.
Either Muchnik or Nguyen will complete the 16 player bracket and there is one more round scheduled for tonight. Eight more heads up matches will begin at 10 p.m. and when the dust settles there will be only eight players left in the field. The final eight match ups are as follows:
Jason Glass vs. Keith Block
Steve Sarrafzadeh vs. Thomas Wahlroos
Jared Davis vs. Curt Kohlberg
Steve Song vs. Scotty Nguyen/Mark Muchnik
Vanessa Selbst vs. Paul Wasicka
Shannon Shorr vs. Carmel Petresco
Daniel Schrieber vs. Jonah Rogers
Toto Leonidas vs. Michael Pickett
