Todd terry started the level as the short stack and wasted no time getting it in. On the first hand of Level 5, Todd Terry open-shoved for 440,000 before the flop, Adam Junglen called, Mark Radoja re-shoved for about 2.2 million and Junglen called.

Radoja was in the lead with K K against Junglen’s 10 10 and Terry’s Q 9.

The board came A J J 7 3, no help for any one as Radoja more than doubled up while Todd Terry was eliminated in 7th place ($62,370).

Nikita Lebedev Eliminated in 6th Place ($82,287)

After Todd Terry was eliminated at the beginning of Level 5, Nikita Lebedev inherited the role of the short stack and was eliminated right towards the end of the level.

Adam Junglen opened the pot for 140,000 from under the gun, Nikita Lebedev moved all in for about 1,100,000 and Junglen called.

Junglen was ahead with K K against Lebedev’s Q 9.

The board came J J 5 8 8, no help for Nikita Lebedev who was eliminated in 6th place ($82,287).

This event started with 387 players and ended last night (two days later) with just the 10. To get there, the final 10 players each had to win two tables, one on each of the first two days of this event.

High Roller Heads-Up Report — Extra Day Added

The £10,350 heads-up high roller event has reached the final match between Gus Hansen and Jim Collopy from an initial field of 103. The winner will take home the top prize worth £288,409 and the runner-up will take home £178,211 and some deflated hopes.

First Match: The first round saw Hansen take control but Collopy held on to battle for quite some time before succumbing to a first-game loss.

Second Match: This match started the same as the first with Hansen jumping out to a lead and Collopy struggling to catch up. Things went differently when he moved all in though. He doubled up twice to even up the chip counts and then he took control to win the second match and tie things up 1-1.

When the score was evened it was 3 a.m. local time last night and the two decided to stop play and return today at a time to be determined. We will bring you updates from when play finally does begin anew and then keep you posted until a winner is crowned in this prestigious tournament.

After a series of preflop raises, Sergei Veytser was all in holding AQ against the AK of Todd Terry.

The board came K75910 and Terry’s nut flush sent the Russian to the rail on the official final table bubble.

Veytser was generally known for being the “Eugene Katchalov look-a-like,” but ultimately ended up outlasting the real thing. Veytser cashed three times at this year’s Series, but this was his largest score to date, taking home $31,700.

Eugene Katchalov raised to 25,000 and both Kevin Schaffel and Todd Terry made the call. Mat Widdoes then shoved in his remaining 128,000 more from the small blind.

Toto Leonidas folded his big blind and the action went back to Eugene Katchalov, who raised it up to 275,000. His isolation didn’t work and Schaffel shoved in his stack of about 500,000.

Terry then went into the tank, visibly concerned with his predicament. After a few minutes of thought, he mucked his hand and the action came back to Katchalov, who felt committed and put in the call.

Katchalov showed pocket eights, Widdoes showed A7 and Schaffel showed the superior pocket kings.

The board came out Q536Q and Widdoes was eliminated. Katchalov lost a big chunk of his stack and Schaffel took the chip lead with 1,240,000.

Amazingly, Terry folded pocket queens. Had he not made such a great read, he would’ve taken out two players and been stacked with over 2,500,000.

Bryan Devonshire raised in position and Todd Terry called from the small blind. The flop came out Q94 and after a series of bets and raises, both players find all the chips in the middle.

Devonshire showed 108 for a flopped flush, but his heart sinks when Terry showed A7 for the nut flush.

The turn and river came 45 and Devonshire was eliminated, shipping the 844,000 pot to Terry.

Level Summary:

Despite a few short stacks in the field, it took nearly half of the level before a player was sent to the rail in the money. Nick Schulman was that casualty, running pocket jacks into the pocket aces of Kevin Schaffel.

Then, the room was stunned to see former chip leader Bryan Devonshire ousted from the tournament when he flopped a flush against the nut flush of Todd Terry. The resulting pot gave Terry a massive stack and he ended the day with 850,000, good for the chip lead.

Steven Begleiter Eliminated in Ninth Place ($39,240)

Todd Terry raised to 50,000 from the button and Steven Begleiter moved all in for about 500,000. Terry made the call and they flipped up their cards.

Terry showed AQ and Begleiter could only sheepishly produce K3.

The board came 108495
and the November Nine member was put out from the tournament. He may have fallen just short, but Begleiter proved his run in the WSOP Main Event was no fluke, not to mention picking up valuable experience along the way.

Sergei Veytser Eliminated in 10th Place ($32,700)

After a series of preflop raises, Sergei Veytser was all in holding AQ against the AK of Todd Terry.

The board came K75910 and Terry’s nut flush sent the Russian to the rail on the official final table bubble.

Veytser was generally known for being the “Eugene Katchalov look-a-like,” but ultimately ended up outlasting the real thing. Veytser cashed three times at this year’s Series, but this was his largest score to date, taking home $31,700.

Mat Widdoes Eliminated in 16th Place ($22,240)

Eugene Katchalov raised to 25,000 and both Kevin Schaffel and Todd Terry made the call. Mat Widdoes then shoved in his remaining 128,000 more from the small blind.

Toto Leonidas folded his big blind and the action went back to Eugene Katchalov, who raised it up to 275,000. His isolation didn’t work and Schaffel shoved in his stack of about 500,000.

Terry then went into the tank, visibly concerned with his predicament. After a few minutes of thought, he mucked his hand and the action came back to Katchalov, who felt committed and put in the call.

Katchalov showed pocket eights, Widdoes showed A7 and Schaffel showed the superior pocket kings.

The board came out Q536Q and Widdoes was eliminated. Katchalov lost a big chunk of his stack and Schaffel took the chip lead with 1,240,000.

Amazingly, Terry folded pocket queens. Had he not made such a great read, he would’ve taken out two players and been stacked with over 2,500,000.

Steven Begleiter raised to 22,000 and Todd Terry reraised to 77,000 behind him. Peter Rho then called all in from the big blind and Begleiter folded.

Terry showed AK and was racing against Rho’s pocket queens. The board came out 332A5 and Rho was eliminated from the tournament.

Terry now has over 900,000 while extending his chip lead.

Bryan Devonshire Eliminated, Room Stunned At Former Chip Leaders Demise

Bryan Devonshire raised in position and Todd Terry called from the small blind. The flop came out Q94 and after a series of bets and raises, both players find all the chips in the middle.

Devonshire showed 108 for a flopped flush, but his heart sinks when Terry showed A7 for the nut flush.

The turn and river came 45 and Devonshire was eliminated, shipping the 844,000 pot to Terry.

Level Summary:

Despite a few short stacks in the field, it took nearly half of the level before a player was sent to the rail in the money. Nick Schulman was that casualty, running pocket jacks into the pocket aces of Kevin Schaffel.

Then, the room was stunned to see former chip leader Bryan Devonshire ousted from the tournament when he flopped a flush against the nut flush of Todd Terry. The resulting pot gave Terry a massive stack and he ended the day with 850,000, good for the chip lead.
