There was 8,000 in the pot and a board that read A Q 8 6 sitting on the table when a player in middle position bet 4,600. Jordan Morgan then raised all in for 25,500 from the cutoff and his opponent went into the tank for several minutes. He eventually mucked and Morgan grew his stack close to 40,000 after the hand.
Matt Stout moved all in for 14,200 on a board that read Q 9 5 J 2 and Jordan Morgan made the call. Stout revealed pocket fives and Morgan mucked. Stout was close to his starting stack after the hand and Morgan was knocked down to 10,000.

David Williams Advances

Antonio Esfandiari Advances
Antonio Esfandiari and his opponent were tangled up on a flop of K83. Esfandiari’s opponent moved all in with the K5. Esfandiari made the call with the K6 and it held to send him to the next round.
Jason Mercier Eliminated
Jason Mercier was in a coin flip with the A9 versus the pocket fives on an opponent. The board ran out 8776Q and Mercier was gone.
The 52 players who are still remaining in the $1,500 six-handed no-limit hold’em event have gone on a one-hour dinner break and will return just after 8 p.m. to continue playing for the $482,774 first place prize money.
Timothy Adams is our chip leader with 264,000, with the average stack only 143,913. Jordan Morgan (Pictured Right) is still in contention with 160,000 and Mark Seif is only slightly below average with 128,000. Dash Dudley is looking to make his second final tables of this year’s WSOP and has 119,000. Bryan Micon and Robert Williamson III are both still alive, but short stacked.

We joined this hand in progress: On a board of 66310, Kent Washington called a 8,800 chip bet from the under-the-gun player. The river brought the 10 and Washington’s opponent bet a bit less this time, throwing out 8,500 into the middle. Washington tanked before calling the bet, which was more than half his remaining stack. His opponent tabled the AA for aces and tens. Washington mucked and was down to just 7,000.
Not too long after Washington moved all in for 6,100 with the K9 and was called by a player who held the A7. Washington failed to improve and was eliminated late on Day 1B.
Jordan Morgan Doubles Up an Opponent
We caught up with the action after Morgan had already mucked and was counting out about 12,000 chips to send over to an opponent who had pocket aces exposed on the felt. Morgan was on the button and apparently doubled up his opponent who was in the small blind. Morgan is now at 20,000 in chips.

Somerville Stumbles
Jason Somerville limped in from early position and Christian Klauser raised to 2,700. It folded back to Somerville who made it 6,000 to go. Klauser responded by moving all in for 20,000 and was called by Klauser. They were off to the races when Somerville showed AK and Klauser showed 99.
The flop was 5K7, putting Somerville in the lead, but when the turn was the 10 and the river was the 6, it gave Klauser a flush to win the pot and cripple Somerville to 9,000.
Terrance Chan Doubles Through Jordan Morgan
We caught up with the hand in progress and saw Jordan Morgan tossing in a few more chips and then trying to muck his hand when Terrance Chan showed pocket fives on a board of 9 7 5 4.
The dealer then correctly made sure that the hand was turned up and the table saw Morgan’s J7, giving him a pair of sevens, and no hope for winning the hand. Although we aren’t sure how the money go in, we are sure that Chan now has 18,000, while Morgan slipped to 13,000.
Aguiar Makes Full House and Stacks Chips
After a bit of a raising war preflop between Jon “FatalError” Aguiar and his opponent, they saw a flop of A23. They got the rest of the money in on the flop and Aguiar showed A2 and was ahead of the AJ.
The turn was the A and the river was the K. Aguiar took the pot and shot his stack up to 32,000 while knocking out his opponent.
Shaun Deeb was talking to a friend at the table and said “He doesn’t like to be recognized. Make sure you call him by his online name.”
Andrew Lichtenberger Eliminated
Andrew Lichtenberger open shipped for 2,300 with the 88 and was called by an opponent with the AQ. The flop came KQ10, giving Lichtenberger’s opponent middle pair. The pair of queens held and Lichtenberger was gone.
Eric Baldwin Wins a Nice Pot
Reigning Card PlayerPOY, Eric Baldwin (18,000 in chips), three-bet preflop with the 85. A player in early position made the call and both players saw a flop of J98. Action went check-check. The 5 hit the turn and action went check-check once again. The K fell on the river and Baldwin’s opponent once again checked. This time Baldwin fired out a bet of 4,200 and it was quickly called. Baldwin tabled two pair and his opponent mucked A-K. Baldwin is now at 25,000.

Ted Lawson Wins Without Showdown
In a five way raised pot, the flop came down K92. The small blind led for 200, Bruno Fitoussi calls, Ted Lawson calls, and the player on the button raises to 400. After the small blind folds, both Fitoussi and Lawson called. The Q fell on the turn and now Fitoussi leads out for 400 and both Lawson and the button called.
The 3 fell on the river and Fitoussi led again for 400 and was met with a raise to 400 from Ted Lawson. The button folded and after tanking for a few moments, Fitoussi laid it down.

Jack Haley With the Double-Double
On a flop of KQ2, former NBA ball player Jack Haley got it all in with top pair (AK) against the player in seat 3's middle pair (Q3). The turn was the K, giving haley the check mark, his opponent was drawing dead on the river (7). After the hand, Haley doubled up to just over 8,000 in chips.
The Ups and Downs of Paul Wasicka
On a board of A524, the player in seat 1 bet 1,000 and Wasicka made the call. Another player in the hand mucked his cards the the two players were heads up heading to the river. It came down with the 9 and seat 1 bet 2,000. Wasicka called again and seat 1 asked, "you got a straight?" Wasicka nodded and turned over 33 for the wheel and he scooped a pot to get his stack back over 20,000.
A few hands later, the player in seat 6 raised to 1,050. Wasicka made the call from the big blind and the flop came 932. Wasicka checked and seat 6 bet 1,325. Wasicka made the call and the turn was the 4. Both players checked and they did the same when the J came on the river. Wasicka showed 77 and his opponent showed 98 for top pair and the pot. Wasicka was at 15,000 after the hand.
Galfond Out
Phil Galfond moved all in for his last couple of thousand against the player in seat 8 preflop. Galfond showed 88 while his opponent showed 1010. The board ran out 946K2 and Galfond's main event was done.
Turner Busts One
The player in seat 8 raised to 800 from middle position and Jon "PearlJammer" Turner made the call from the button. The flop rolled out Q98 and seat 8 led out with 1,150. Turner raised an additional 2,100 and seat 8 pushed all in. Turner called instantly and showed J10 while seat 8 showed AQ. The turn was the 3 and the river was the 3. Turner eliminated seat 8 and was around 50,000.
Morgan Involved in Two Big Hands
Jordan Morgan raised to 1,800 preflop and both seat 2 and seat 7 made the call. The flop came 963 and Morgan fired 3,500. Seat 2 folded but seat 7 stuck around, making the call. The turn was the 9 and both players checked. The river brought the 9 and Morgan fired 9,750. Seat 7 went into the tank for almost five minutes. He finally called and Morgan tabled JJ. Seat 7 mucked and Morgan took the huge pot.
A few hands later, the board read 976K, seat 1 and seat 4 both moved all in before the action even got to Morgan. Morgan made the call, having both men covered. Seat 1 showed 66 for a set. Seat 2 showed Q10 for a made flush along with a gutshot straight flush draw. Morgan turned over 87 for a lower flush, as well as a straight flush draw. The river brought the J, giving seat 4 his straight flush, not that he needed it. Seat 1 was eliminated and Morgan was around 60,000.
Anna Wroblewski Doubles Up, Eliminates Lenny Cortelino
On a flop of Q43, Lenny Cortellino checked to Anna Wroblewski who bet 6,100. Cortellino raised (check-raised) to 12,100 and Wroblewski moved all in. Cortellino insta-called and turned over QQ for top set while Wroblewski showed AA for the overpair and the nut flush draw. Wroblewski had Cortellino slightly covered. The turn was the 9, giving Wroblewski her flush and reducing Coretllino to pairing the board to stay alive. The river was the 2, no pair and Cortellino hit the rail. After the hand, Wroblewski nearly doubled up to just over 60,000 in chips.
Shulman Keeps Rolling
Action folded around to the button who raised to 900. Barry Shulman made the call from the small blind and the flop came A43 and Shulman checked. The player on the button fired a continuation bet of 1,500 and Shulman made the call. The turn was the 2 and Shulman led out for 2,000. The button looked confused and mucked his hand. Shulman flashed an ace and took the pot.

Phil Laak got all in against a big stacked J.C. Tran on a board of K-Q-4. Tran showed A-K-9-8 for top pair, but Laak showed K-Q-10-8 for top two pair.
