Mike "The Mouth" Matusow is one of the game's most vocal and entertaining players. He was born in Los Angeles, California, on April 30, 1968. He helped run a family business and worked as a poker dealer in Las Vegas. He learned to play poker in 1989 from a fellow rounder.
He has made two World Series of Poker main-event final tables, in 2001 and 2005. Also, in 2005, he won the WSOP Tournament of Champions and followed it up with a third-place finish the next year. He has WSOP bracelets in Omaha eight-or-better (2002), $3,500 no-limit hold'em (1999), and $5,000 no-limit deuce-to-seven draw lowball (2008) events. Matusow also won the 2000 United States Poker Championship in Atlantic City, as well as the 2006 Poker Superstars Invitational Championship for half a million dollars. In 2007, Matusow nearly captured his first World Poker Tour title when he came in second at the Bellagio Cup III main event. Matusow represents Team Full Tilt.
