Oppenheim started playing poker professionally during his second year of college. By the time he was 20, he was playing games at the $300-$600 limit. Today he is a regular player in the biggest cash games in the world. Like many high-stakes cash-game players, he has began playing the tournament circuit.
He finished third in the $5,000 no-limit hold'em championship at the 2003 Borgata Poker Open, and has added numerous cashes since.
