The player in seat 5 raised to 16,000 and Bertrand Grospellier was next to act. He called his remaining 10,000 into the middle and everyone else mucked. In a situation that could have seen both players holding marginal hands. Instead, we got the classic race situation as Grospellier tabled QQ and seat 5 showed AK. The flop then came down A57 and Grospellier was all but out the door. The 8 turn and 9 river sealed his fate and he was eliminated.

Leonidas Hammered Down By Set

After the board had run out K928A, Toto Leonidas bet 20,000. Eugene Todd made the call and Leonidas showed down AJ but Todd turned over 88 for a set and the pot. Leonidas was around 95,000 while Todd was at 260,000.

Haxton With The Knockout

Isaac Haxton raised the pot from the under the gun and Bobby Firestone moved in from the button. Haxton made the call and both players showed down their hands.

The board ran out A7463 and Firestone was eliminated. Haxton took the pot and was around 400,000.

Quicks Busts After Dinner

Both Robert Firestone and Joe Elpayaa have fallen shortly in to play after the dinner break. Elpayaa had been on a short stack all day, and his frustration was showing at the tables, while Firestone met an untimely end to take him to the rail. He was all in preflop with A-Q, but Gualter Salles called him down with J-7 and spiked a 7 on the flop.
