Every Hand (Almost) Revealed and WPT Finals
Knock, knock - please sign here, here you go, have a nice day. My fingers are almost trembling as I open the box with the first shipment of the advanced copy of my book "Every Hand Revealed."Finally, here is the result of months of hard work, and I must say I am really proud of myself! The official release is just around the corner - more to follow very soon.
Besides the joy of my newfound bedtime reading (although I keep getting the feeling of déjà vu :-)), I have just landed in Vegas in time for Day 1B of the $25,000 buy-in World Poker Tour Championship. Based on the number of players on Day 1A, I think we are looking at a total prize pool of about $11-12 million, which is a lot lower than last year's whopping $16 million. Maybe people have already started their laying-low preparation for this year's WSOP?
I, on the other hand, am really looking forward to this event. I don't see any reason to pass on the more than $2 million first prize. The deep-stacked format usually means a lot more play instead of sick shootouts, arbitrary all-ins and coincidental coin-flips.
I will be back tomorrow with an update from Day 1B.
