EPT Monaco - Home Turf Advantage
Hey Guys,
I have been on the road for a while - playing squash, tennis and soccer in Denmark for a couple of days only to return to my home here in Monte Carlo to prepare for the EPT Final. For those of you who have never been to Monaco, let me give you a few facts. The Principality (the state is ruled by a Prince) is wedged in between France and Italy right on the Mediterranean Sea.
I have never really figured out the relationship between France and Monaco. The official language in Monaco is French and everything is done "the French way." Like it or not, Monaco is a very small place - you can literally walk from one end to the other in a couple of hours.
With the exception of when the Formula 1 race is in town once a year, the town (it is too small to be labeled a city) is actually very quiet. I like to hang out and play tennis down at the Country Club and just enjoy the nice weather and the awesome view.
Contrary to what most people think, I don't drop by the Casino very often to play poker. One, because it is very old-fashioned and not at all as loose as in Vegas (plus you have to pay an entry fee to get in!) and two, because the big cash games are rarely here.
Anyway - I am all set to get going. We should be looking at a first prize of at least $3 mil! I will update you as I proceed in the tournament.
Ciao
