"You can't spend bets." This nugget of wisdom came from a friend of mine during a discussion about whether we would rather be up bets or up dollars. When you play multiple stakes it is possible to be up bets and down money if you lose at higher limits and win at lower limits. I took the stance that for a reasonably small period of time, I would rather be up bets if I had to choose. Being up in dollars is nice, but I feel the bets number keeps me more confident that I am beating the games and can expect to win in the future. As long as I keep winning bets, eventually dollars will follow.
