Coming This Fall

The Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino recently announced that it will debut the first-ever live interactive poker-themed stage show called The Real Deal!.

Included in the Venetian’s lineup of entertainment offerings in the Venetian Showroom, the Real Deal! was created to give poker players and fans alike the opportunity to interact with the games’ biggest stars, all while having a chance at a variety of giveaways.

Among the many professionals who are participating in this project are Todd Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, Gavin Smith, Phil Hellmuth, Jennifer Harman, Doyle Brunson, Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari, Eli Elezra, and Scotty Nguyen. Two pros will be featured at each show, and participating audience members can play alongside and against them by using a wireless handheld console.

Prizes are awarded in a number of ways, including play of a virtual hand or random wagers on instances to occur during play. The audience member who has the top score during the show will take a seat at the final table with the top pro and top amateur for a three-handed finale. Also, at each show, the audience members will get a chance to draw for a royal flush and $1 million.

“Personally, I think this show is going to be an absolute blast and can't wait to get started,” said Negreanu in his blog, featured on CardPlayer.com. “It's going to be fun poker with a unique twist that will force the action a little bit. Besides, unlike any other poker tournament you watch live, this event will allow you to either be a player at the table or give you a chance to make decisions from the audience. It's a really cool concept, and the mainstream attention it will attract will be good for poker as a whole.”

The Real Deal! is coming this fall and will run six days a week at the Venetian Showroom at 4 p.m. with primetime performances on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
