Final SpadeClub Member Busts on Day 3 at the World Series

SpadeClub Sent Four Exclusive Members to the World Series, Final Representative Made it to Day 3, Besting More Than 80 Percent of the Tournament Field

SpadeClub.com, the innovative online poker community, offers a risk-free way to win at poker with no deposits and no buy-ins. Find out more.

David “dkhunky” Kim was the last remaining SpadeClub sponsored member in the main event. On day 1, dkhunky beganDavid 'dkhunky' Kim the day with 20,000 in chips alongside 6,844 other entrants, including the world’s top poker professionals. By the end of the day, he had grown his stack to over 60,000 and secured his spot in day 2. Day 2 brought a rollercoaster ride for Kim, as his chip stack grew to 100,000, and then took a big hit to put him under 50,000 before shooting back up to more than 125,000. Kim ended day 2 with 93,000.

At the beginning of day 3 dkhunky sat down with SpadeClub to discuss his play so far and his plan to gain chips throughout the rest of the tournament.

When asked about how he feels about the whole experience, dkhunky said:

“It has been quite amazing, a real dream come true. People expected me to be nervous, but I feel pretty calm. I think playing so much online poker has prepared me for this. I have been able to switch up my play pretty well. I am starting with 93,000 in chips and know that I need to tighten up a bit, though. I am excited to tackle day 3 of the World Series of Poker and see where it takes me.”

Dkhunky has been thrilled with all of the comments that have been left on his SpadeClub profile page about his success. He is proud to be a part of the SpadeClub community and loves the idea that members are chatting about him back at his home site.

During play on day 3, dkhunky was involved in a large pot with the latest World Series bracelet winner Matt Graham. Graham crippled Kim when he pushed all in on the river, causing Kim to fold his set while Graham showed a bluff with queen high. Kim was sent to the rail shortly thereafter, but he earned the respect of the SpadeClub community (and, undoubtedly, his tablemates) with his excellent play in the event.

The entire SpadeClub community was cheering for dkhunky as he neared the money. The deeper dkhunky went in the event, the more money SpadeClub added to the SpadeClub Member Success Freeroll, and making it into the money meant at least $5,000 for SpadeClub members. As it stands, the efforts of dkhunky earned $3,000 for the SpadeClub freeroll. For updates on many of the big hands from David “dkhunky” Kim's WSOP main event, go to the community page and click on SCKenny’s blog.
