SpadeClub Wants to Introduce You to the Four World Series $40K Giveaway Champions Who Won Seats to the World Series Main Event

SpadeClub.com, the innovative online poker community, offers a risk-free way to win at poker with no deposits and no buy-ins. Find out more.

World Series $40K Giveaway ChampionsCharles “lobotomy” Goodwin and Ken “Handbone” Meyer were the first to receive their $12,000 prize packages from SpadeClub on June 1. Less than thirty days later, on June 29, SpadeClub awarded David “dkhunky” Kim and Michael “fugetaboutit” Pontorno their $12,000 prize packages. All four prize packages included a $10,000 buy-in and $2,000 in travel expenses. SpadeClub’s World Series $40K Giveaway champions will be participating in the 2008 World Series of Poker* main event, and you could have a very good reason to cheer them on.

Become an Exclusive member on SpadeClub to be eligible to participate in the SpadeClub Member Success Freeroll. SpadeClub is going to donate money into a prize pool for all Exclusive members depending on how well the World Series $40K Giveaway champions do in the main event. The SpadeClub Member Success Freeroll can potentially have a prize pool of up to $1.1 million. Keep checking with SCKennys’ blog on the SpadeClub community page to see how the four champions are doing.

SpadeClub’s Champions

Charles “labatomy” Goodwin has been playing poker for just over four years and has come a long way from not recognizing he had a straight to having a pile of chips coming his way. Goodwin will be arriving in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Thursday July 3 to compete in the main event. After winning the World Series main-event seat from SpadeClub, Goodwin had this to say: “Winning the $40K and a seat at the World Series makes me feel fan-damn-tastic!”

Ken “Handbone” Meyer is a Tucson, Arizona, native and has been playing cards all of his life. Handbone, as he prefers to be called, considers himself a pro-in-training and wants to one day be considered SpadeClub’s top pro. When asked what will be the most exciting thing about playing at the World Series, besides the potential to win millions of dollars, Handbone replied, “The most exciting thing will certainly be to sit next to some of the greatest legends of the game. It is my dream to one day be considered on the same level as these pros.”

David “dkhunky” Kim is a graphic design student who is making a living off of playing poker at the moment. He plays mostly online and has done very well on other online poker sites, as well. Kim believes that great players will always continue to improve their game, and he has done just that by reading every poker book, watching onlike poker training videos, and participating in poker forums. Kim was asked which he is more excited about, the money or the bracelet, and he replied, “The bracelet, because it has a lot more value in it; you get top have bragging rights and it sets you apart from all of the other poker players in the world.”

Michael “fugetaboutit” Pontorno is an Italian from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, who started of as a diehard blackjack player, but as soon as poker was introduced to him, he never went back. He is a family man and even told SpadeClub that if he wasn’t going to the World Series, he would be at the beach with his family. When asked which is more important to him about winning the World Series of Poker main event, the money or the bracelet, Pontorno said, “I am not going to lie, winning the money.”

Good luck at the 2008 World Series of Poker* main event, champions!
