Iron Man Challenge on Full Tilt Poker Rewards for Play

Win More Than $100,000 in Freerolls

Full Tilt Poker's popular Iron Man promotion challenges players to play a ton of hands, win freeroll tournaments, and best three elite poker pros, all in a quest to snag boatloads of free cash.

No, Full Tilt Poker's Iron Man Challenge isn't based on the recently released, comic-book inspired movie. The Iron Man Challege has been around for much longer than that film, as Full Tilt has been putting up more than $100,000 in potential prizes in the promotion for some time.

The first stage of the challenge is to earn Full Tilt Points (FTPs). Players must earn a certain number of points over a certain number of days of a calendar month to qualify for Iron Man status. There are four status levels: bronze, silver, gold, and Iron Man. The lowest level is bronze, of course, which you can achieve by either playing 15 days in a calendar month earning 100 points per day or playing 20 days in a month earning 50 points per day. The requirements to reach the higher status levels escalate until the Iron Man level, for which you need to play 25 days in a calendar month earning 200 points or more per day.

The different status levels do different things for players. For starters, the higher the status level, the more Iron Man medals you earn for that month. For instance, bronze players get 25 medals for the first month they achieve that status, whereas Iron Man players earn 100 medals. Players can spend medals in the Iron Man Challenge store in exhange for cash, tournament entries, merchandise, and more. Players who maintain a status level (or move up to a higher status level) in consecutive months earn more medals for that month. For example, a player who reaches Iron Man status for 13 months in a row gets 300 medals for the 13th month, rather than the 100 medals he got for his starting month.

Also, once a player has reached one of the four status levels, he can play one of four freeroll tournaments (one for each level): $10,000 for bronze, $15,000 for silver, $20,000 for gold, and $30,000 for Iron Man. The winners of each freeroll are entered into a four-person sit-and-go with a $5,000 winner-take-all prize pool.

The winner of that sit-and-go freeroll then gets the opportunity play in the final stage of the Challenge, wherein they face three red-named Full Tilt-sponsored pros in individual heads-up matches. If the player wins one match, they earn $5,000, and they get $10,000 for beating two pros. If the bronze, silver, or gold freeroll winner gets to that stage and beats all three pros, he pockets $50,000, but if the Iron Man freeroll winner plays and beats all three, he earns $100,000.

Needless to say, there is a lot involved in the Iron Man Challenge promotion, and there's even more than described here. Full Tilt Poker's site offers complete information on the promotion, and Card Player offers a Full Tilt deposit bonus for those wishing to sign up for the site.

They don't need to be on consecutive days. Just in the same calendar month.
