World Series Of Poker Premieres Tonight on ESPN

First Episode Will Feature the $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em World Championship

It's finally time for poker fans to get their yearly fix of brand-new episodes of the World Series of Poker. Tuesday night is now poker night on ESPN, and it all begins tonight from 8-10 p.m. ET with the premiere show that will feature the $10,000 pot-limit hold'em world championship.

This is the first event of the 2008 WSOP, which has been dubbed "The Year of the Pros." This table exemplifies just that, as the stacked final table included Kathy Leibert, Mike Sexton, Chris Bell, Mike Sowers, Phil Laak, Patrik Antonius, Amit Makhija, Andy Bloch, and Nenad Medic. For those who don't know who the winner is, the final results, as well as photos, updates logs, and videos, are available on CardPlayer.com.

i agree. i wish there was more high stakes poker. glad to finally see some good poker on tv now. the reruns from last year are getting old

nice had nothing to do tonight.. thats cool wondering when they would start airing it .know we have a t least few months worth of good poker tv then wpt got picked up for new season ..sucks no more high stakes poker that was my favorite other than the w.s.op which i like to becuase of its history .not that anyone cares lol im just rambling
