It Continues to Grow by the Minute

The Absolute Poker bad-beat jackpot was hit on Tuesday when DENDAKOTA won $46,908 holding quad eights. A new jackpot is now building from money taken out of every pot that has a rake of 25 cents or more.

When hit, the jackpot is broken down this way:

  • 25 percent rolls over to the next bad-beat jackpot
  • 10 percent  goes to the house

    Of the remaining 65 percent:

  • 50 percent  goes to the bad-beat victim
  • 25 percent goes to the winner of the hand
  • $1,000 goes to every other player at the bad-beat table
  • The remainder is divided between everyone playing the same game type and limit when the bad beat takes place

A player must be holding quad eights or better and have it beaten (both players’ holecards must play) to win. CardPlayer.com offers an Absolute Poker deposit bonus, which can be used to shoot for a bad beat that really pays.

not really that hard to figure it out. The original pot was $1444,333.00. Take 35% off the top for the roll over and the house cut and you're left with $93,816.45. Give the bad beat victim 50% of this = $46,908.00, the winner of the hand his 25%, the other players at the table their $1000.00 and divide up the rest
