Scott Clements and Ted Lawson finished first and second in Saturday’s $5,000 no-limit hold’em event at Bellagio’s Five-Star World Poker Classic. Clements’ victory and the $206,000 top-prize put him just over the $3-million mark in lifetime tournament cashes.
Lawson won $122,150 for second place and is nearing the $2-million mark in lifetime tournament cashes ($1.95 million).
The players were part of a field of 106 who played in the single-day event Saturday. The top nine were paid. Click here to see the final results. The event was the fourth in the series, which climaxes with the $25,000 World Poker Tour Championship April 19-26.
This is Clements’ second cash at this year’s Five-Star World Poker Classic. He also finished 17th in the $2,500 event, for $3,335.

I agree, I played there last week, awful turn out, NO COMPS, rude service, I'll never go back to the Bellagio!! Also, learn how to run a 1,000 buy in nightly tournament, as I played in 3 of them in the two weeks I was out there, they won't combine tables, my guess so it makes the tournament not last as long and small stacks get blinded out, HORRIFIC TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE!

great job by the players in a very poor tourney. no one showing up. lousy comps ,bad sat structure, dealer poor performance, uncaring management. and way too much juice. the fat goose is dying
