Option B. Its a call.
85, 000 in the pot before any bet.
235K pot on the flop.
395K pot on the turn.
I bet 155K on the turn = 550K in the pot
my stack is 590K in this spot.... villian shoves all in for 395K more chips so in this spot im risking 395K to win 945K.
I have TPTK against possible air ... odds enough to call.

There are a few things we dont know... how many players are at the table... is it a 6 max or 9 player game. This would affect how many antes is in the pot...
> This is an automatic call ... this player could easily push allin with Q10 or K 10 or any pair /str8 draw on the turn if he raised from the cutoff to steal. And wanted to make a play... Its enough in the pot to call based purely on pot odds.
> If you draw in my bet of 155K on the turn -Im calling about 385K to win a pot of over 1 milin the pot.. very easy call. I would call with AK in that spot.

The author actually forgot to mention that it's six-handed at the final table here.

villain should know that when we donk turn, we committed to the pot and we have great odds to call if he shoves so imo he wont be shoving very light here imo his looser range is sets, pair + draw, monster draws (str8+flush), over pair, AK/AQ/KQ,JQ,Tx spades i cant see him shove worse T in that spot... when all that said imo i'm more inclined to fold here if this is 6 max FT

BTW
I'll never play this hand this way, if i dont 3 bet preflop maybe even 5betshove vs some agro players, and if i float flop when I hit T on turn I will almost never donk bet i'm check shoving most of time, or maybe very very rarely just donk shove on turn

This is a poker mag web site and the author and your Editor can't figure out what relevant info should be included when posting a hand match-up?
Was this the same astute Editor that couldn't figure out a couple of blogs attributed to Doyle couldn't have been written by Doyle?
Who is the "we" that will judge an answer "articulate." "We" didn't do a very good job selecting an Editor. Are they to be trusted deciding what's articulate?

For the record, blogs are not edited by Card Player staff, they're posted by the blogger or representatives of the blogger. The Doyle blogs were a mistake on the part of DoylesRoom.

Tough play when you spike top pair on the turn. Hard to imagine that at a 6 handed final table you wouldn't have any reads on this opponent. His flop bet of 80k is less than half the pot which may show hes trying to end the hand there and not see another card with something like AQ AK. Two to the flush out there, if he was scared of the draw he probably bet more. He could be on flush draw also and be semibluffing with such a minimal bet. Its curious that he bet nearly the same bet as he did preflop its begging for action. On the turn there is 355k in the pot, my weak bet of 155k is exactly the same amount i've already put into the pot, it is also less then half of the pot. I don't like the shove. Even though i'm getting 3-1 on the pot odds, doesn't mean its an automatic call. I'm putting him on 76, As10s or massive bluff with AK. I can't beat that many hands and even if he has a flush draw he has a lot more outs to improve his hand even with AK. If I'm trying to catch up I and don't hit, i'm left with less than 200k.
I fold.

milehi5oh i agree with you he may even be sitting with the straight and played a bingo hand, 4 5 off. so i would fold knowing i have very few outs to improve. and save my chips for better hand. Also if your at a table for a while with someone you have to have some kind of read. even Phil Lakk gives tell tale signs.

Assuming that Villain is a good player, since it is the final table, it would be very unlikely for him to have any pocket pair. He would bet more on the flop so that flush and straight draws wouldn’t have the right price to call.
The same thing can be said for any other made hand on the flop. If he was holding 7-6 or 5-4, he should bet more to keep a draw from counterfeiting it.
In all likelihood he was making continuation bet on the flop. Therefore the only hands where he would be ahead on the turn are As-Ts and 8-9. We’d chop the pot with any A-T not of spades. And, I’d be ahead against K-T, Q-T, J-T, and a bluff.
I’m inclined to call because if I fold, I would be left with 585k in chips. With the blinds and antes the way they were, I’d only have 48 hands before being blinded out of the tourney (if they’d increase I’d have even fewer hands). I wouldn’t expect a better spot to get my money in that short a time period. Plus I’d get an opportunity knock out a player and strongly improve my chip stack. The call would give me the best opportunity to win the tournament.

he made two crucial mistakes (to me) by just calling PF with your big suited ace, out of position, against a CO raise. Time to three bet and see where you stand IMO
I'd make it 215k and pray for a quick muck
Second mistake is the flop flat call. is he trying to suck out and smash an ace on the turn or what?
Seems like this TA play got what it deserved for me
