Sergio Castelluccio Wins Italian Poker Tour San Remo

Thirty-Four Year-Old Beats 395 Opponents To Lift €200,000 at PokerStars IPT San Remo

Sergio Castelluccio wins IPT San RemoSergio Castelluccio has won the PokerStars.com Italian Poker Tour San Remo, topping the 396-strong field to take down the €200,000 top prize.

All eight finalists in the €2,000 + €200 buy in event were Italian and Castelluccio started the day third in chips. His heads up opponent was PokerStars qualifier Stefano Demontis who started the final table fourth in chips.

Demontis took €120,000 for his second place finish which was determined when he shoved all in preflop with KClub Suit QHeart Suit and was up against Castelluccio’s ADiamond Suit 7Club Suit.

The board fell 9Heart Suit 7Club Suit 7Diamond Suit 2Club Suit 9Diamond Suit to make a full house for Castelluccio and he joined recent winner Tamas Lendvai as a PokerStars.com IPT Champion.
