The new season of the World Series of Poker begins tonight at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. The first two-hour episode will feature the $50,000 Players Championship. The event attracted a very talented field of 116 players, with a prize pool of $5.6 million up for grabs, and $1.5 million going to first place.
The $50,000 Players Championship featured an eight-game mixed format in 2010. Pot-limit Omaha, deuce-to-seven lowball, and no-limit hold’em were added to the H.O.R.S.E. (hold’em, Omaha eight-or-better, razz, seven-card stud, and seven-card stud eight-or-better) format.
The final table of the tournament featured an impressive collection of professionals, including John Juanda, Daniel Alaei, David Oppenheim, David Baker, Mikael Thuritz, and 2010 breakout star Vladimir Shchemelev. The final table also features a sibling rivalry with Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi (pictured above right) joining his older brother Robert.
Lon McEachern and Norman Chad will be back once again to call the action for the new season. Tuesday night will be poker night on ESPN for the next few months, with a new two-hour episode running each Tuesday between now and November 9.
There will be a slight adjustment to the episode airing time during this stretch. From July 27-August 17 episodes will run from 8-10 p.m. ET and from August 24-November 9 episodes will run from 9-11 p.m. ET.

You must have somebody else in the good ol' US of A?
I was thinking about somebody hot, slim and attractive?
Is that really too much to ask for? Oh wait I see what you mean ... slim ... American .....
Oh dear, neither mind!
Guess it will have to be these two buffoons for yet another year, time to reach for that volume button .....

ESPN was looking for someone from Britain, but could not find anyone with decent teeth. So much for government run health care!

ESPN was originally looking for someone from home y'all who was slim, attractive, intelligent, yet humble without the whiney accent. Fat chance!
