Binion's Horseshoe CasinoCardPlayer.com has released a new section on the website today in conjunction with the start of the 41st World Series of Poker. A new WSOP history page includes a year-by-year recap of the event in an archive on the site. The recaps follow the full journey of the event, from the original location at Binion’s Horseshoe Casino (pictured right) over to the Rio Hotel and Casino where it is played today.

You can read about every year of the tournament, From Joe Cada becoming the youngest main event champion in history last year, all the way back to the very first WSOP in 1970 where Johnny Moss was voted champion. Each yearly recap focuses on the major story lines and main event for that year. There is also a special preludes section which identifies the forces in poker that led to the initial WSOP.

Before you dive into coverage of the 2010 WSOP be sure to check out the WSOP history page to see how it became the huge event it is today.
