Sole Survivor Adds More Reason to Qualify for Irish Open at PaddyPowerPoker.com

Christer JohanssonJust over the Irish Winter Festival and PaddyPowerPoker.com is already looking ahead to the Irish Open 2010. The prestigious event with its €3,200 + €300 buy-in will kick off on Apr. 2 and run for four days. A super satellite will take place the day before it begins.

All those who qualify at the site will be eligible for the second-ever €100,000 Sole Survivor promotion which sees a package worth €100,000 go to the last remaining PaddyPowerPoker qualifier left in the field. The 2009 Sole Survivor was 31-year-old German, Marcel Koch.

Paddy Power, Communications Manager for the site, said, “We can’t wait to kick off the search for the next Sole Survivor; there are 100,000 reasons why it makes sense for players to qualify for the Irish Open 2010 on PaddyPowerPoker.com and nowhere else!”

Players can qualify for the event for as little as $0.50. The first weekly super satellites will begin on Nov. 1 at 7.30 p.m.. The buy-in will be $250 + $18 and there will be one Irish Open 2010 package up for grabs for every $7,200 in the prize pool.

Last year’s Irish Open champion was Christer Johansson [pictured top right] after he beat Kara Scott heads up.
