The PaddyPowerPoker.com Irish Winter Festival (IWF) has taken over the Citywest Hotel in Dublin this weekend.
The €1500 + €150 buy-in main event, the Irish Masters is due to start this afternoon at 2 p.m. and a field like last year’s (422 players) is anticipated. Some of those expected to take part include Padraig Parkinson, Steven Devlin, John O’Shea, Rory Rees Brennan, and Marty Smyth.
Those who won’t be making the trip or those who just prefer to play online can also get involved in the festivities. The IWF can be followed live via a web stream on the site at the official Irish Winter Festival blog page. The live feed will conclude with the champion’s trophy presentation on Monday.
The site also recently announced that it is running an online tournament series alongside the IWF. The Irish Winter Festival Online will run all weekend and will include freerolls and money-added events.
Check the IWF blog two hours before the start of each online event for freeroll passwords. The IWF Online can be found on the poker software lobby by clicking on the Tournaments tab and selecting PPP Exclusives.
